About Us – Car Hire & Rentals Gold Coast

Having been in the automotive industry since 1980 with two busy workshops in Sydney, we were looking for something a bit slower paced when we moved to the Gold Coast in 1999 with our two young boys.

Currumbin Car Rentals had been operating successfully since 1990 with a lot of regular customers renting cars on their annual holiday to south east Queensland. After checking it out we purchased the business in May 1999 with 25 cars on the fleet. We moved into our brand new premises on the 5th of November 2004 – still in Currumbin of course!

> Because we look after tourists we meet lots of new people all the time which is fun and our business is strongly built on word of mouth advertising – happy people tell others!

> Being a family business means just that –our teenage boys help us out with cleaning cars (when they need extra pocket money!) and we run the business together seven days a week so we can meet & greet our customers personally at the airport.

> We are able to service and maintain our cars in our own modern workshop, which reduces the overheads of paying others and helps with us to maintain a high standard of vehicles.
